This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites and one of those places that will even surprise my Lisbon friends. It is hidden away in the heart of Principe Real, close to the lovely little square of Praça das Flores. The food is Portuguese, but Chef Manuel Pessoa gives a special twist to most of the traditional dishes. There is no fixed menu, the daily offer is told to you by the Chef himself. This makes every visit to the restaurant a nice surprise, since you will always discover some new dish. They currently serve a buffet for a fixed (and rarther cheap) price, €9.50. Or you can order à la carte. The best price vs quality ratio of all of Lisbon! The setting is cozy and intimate. The restaurant recently started offering valet parking. Not a bad idea since parking in this area is a NIGHTMARE. Details about this spot (Show on map)

Pulizia eccellente.
Consigliatissimo!!!
P.S. Noi ci si torna anche stasera (30 dicembre 2011)…
We were at Charcuteria Francesa in October 2011 and can only agree with Erik: Food, service and location were great. We had the delicious buffet for little less than 10 Euro and a great red wine the waiter had recommended. Unfortunately we forgot to ask what wine it was – but definitely the best one we had in the whole 6 days.
Also had great food here in Summer 2009. Absolutely worth it.
Hello! We also ate at this restaurant May 12th and had a wonderful meal. The staff were highly attentive and Manuel a fantastic chef with considerable desire to please your palate.
They recommended restaurants at the Praca da Flores, so we tried Praca da Flores (same name) and had another exceptional meal. Service in Lisbon has been phenominal, everyone is so welcoming and eager to share the fabulous food and wine of Portugal.
Just back from spending five nights in lovely Lisbon and was luckey enough, before I went, to see Erik’s review on this wonderful resturant. As it was my partners birthday on the Friday I brought him there as a birthday treat and what a treat it was! He loved the whole experience (as did I) and the food is to die for. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We tried to go there again before we went home but it was closed on Sunday and Monday. It IS a hidden gem but one we will be finding again! Best food we’ve had in Lisboa!
