Got there 5 minutes earlier; the friend I was meeting had troubles finding a parking spot, so I had another 10 minutes to have a look around. Now that I started to think about the place, I don’t really know how to describe it. It’s a mixture of Old Ljubljana architecture with a hint of modernism.
The café sits in the middle of a culturally renowned area. There is the City Museum (check out my article), the Square of the French Revolution, as well as the National and University Library of Slovenia just a sling shot away. It’s very likely you will stumble upon a group of musicians with their instruments, enjoying a cup of coffee after a performance.
It’s an excellent place for a first date, and even a second or a third one – i.e. a perfect place when feeling romantic.
My personal favourite drink there: ordering a Grimbergen Double-Ambree is a must. After you slowly consume it, stay off ordering the beer in order not to get addicted to it.
