This ethno club brought freshness to Ljubljana when it opened almost a decade ago. One could easily say it is the first ethno club around here. Its name Zlati Zob, or Golden Tooth, always made me think that this refers to the often seen golden teeth in Gypsy grins. Well, I recently found out it is meant as golden smile, good people, feeling cosy, snacks… A nice environment in short!
The carefully selected decorations are from all over the world and world ethno music is also played here. But not only excellent concerts from the Balkan area, one can catch some nice jazz, blues or pop rock performances. Concerts are mainly performed in front of a seated audience where you can eat and watch a show.
Another positive thing about that place is that they serve a proper Rakija drink, a hard liquor very well-known to any traveller on the Balkans. Quite interesting is also the building itself, which is part of Selo, an 18th century mansion used for different purposes throughout history.
