Not located in the very core of the city, this restaurant is a unique one in Ljubljana with a typical American Wild West Saloon decor. It’s owner (kitchen chef) is well known in the neighborhood for his extraordinary skills in making delicious BBQ food. It is a real wild west experience eating there, besides tasty lunches and snacks there’s also an old piano and sometimes you can sit at the massive wooden counter, sipping beer, observing rifles and trophies on the walls and thinking how it might have been in a “real Wild West Saloon” once.
Wild West Saloon serves Mexican, Mediterranean and especially American food: hamburgers, T-bone and other kind of steaks, pastas, chimichangas, soups, salads and desserts. As I mentioned before they serve really good espresso and from spring till autumn, the afternoon sun shines directly at you (in summer this can be annoying) and colors the terrace orange. On Wednesdays and Thursdays from late spring till late summer they roast pork on a spit. It tastes very good and what’is better to drink with this than Union beer?
