About me?
Originally from Perth, Western Australia, I moved to London in September 2005. With no job and an impoverished bank account, I found myself living in a one bedroom flat with no windows above a makeshift firework store in an area well known for crime. Needless to say, this wasn’t exactly the London experience I had envisaged.
However a few years on, I’m living in the Notting Hill area and have found this distinctively unique city impossible to leave.
Why London?
- Its diversity- there are so many different areas with varying cultures, food and atmospheres. Going to another part of London can sometimes feel like you’re visiting a new city.
- The sites – Everything from strolling along the South Bank and seeing a show in the West End, to visiting Camden or soaking up the atmosphere of edgy East London.
- Food – London’s cultural diversity is mirrored by the amount of international cuisine available. London has some of the best restaurants and fresh food markets.
- Nightlife – With a pub seemingly on every street corner, the only problem is deciding where to start.
