When I first moved to London I thought that the most glamorous burger I’d get would be under Golden Arches, but now I’m a bit more savvy I’m completely addicted to burger joints in London. There are so many popping up at the moment, but Duke’s Brew and Que is one of my favourites.
Duke’s Brew and Que is situated on a suburban street in Dalston in what used to be a typical East End boozer. I’ve tried pretty much everything from the limited menu. Don’t let ‘limited’ put you off though. I love the pulled pork sliders; the beefburger, oozing Monterey Jack cheese and burger sauce; the sticky ribs and the New York cheesecake. Yep, all of it. They also do an American-style brunch at weekends that I’m desperate to try, but haven’t had chance yet…
It’s best to book in advance because it does get pretty busy – even during the week. It’s particularly busy when you can’t take advantage of Duke’s outdoor patio in the winter months, although doesn’t always stop the burger-lovin’ regulars… like me.
