Living in Westend zone 1, surrounded by scary white buildings and medieval churches and museums it is not always easy to get in touch with any type of nature. In this area of concrete jungle, everything has to be perfect. However, those rare times when a sunny day approaches, one just can not stay inside, looking at Dinosaurs in the Natural History museum or shop with creme de la creme at Harrods. Nature is a necessity.
Kensington has its own way to escape to the nature. Kensington Gardens in Hyde Park, is a place where culture and nature collides. The pond, the palace, perfectly green grass and clean paths do not exactly call upon a true jungle, yet has its charm showing the perfect way to enjoy sunshine in London reading a great novel, having a picnic or simply catching the few rays of sun in style. Cricket, football, Frisbee – everything in one place.
The size of the park speaks for itself, leaving one a great choice of what to involve herself/himself into or just simply find your own little spot in the massive field next to the gazebo and observe the true West London life.
