Growing up I lived on a small farm and have raised every kind of animal a farm girl could ever dream of. So as you can imagine, finding this quaint spot in London was a real gem to find. As soon as you step through the gates of the farm, you immediately feel transported from the hectic (and sometimes maddening) lifestyle of London to the quaint and charming atmosphere of a farm.
Obviously, there are plenty of animals large and small from cows, pigs, sheep, to goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and even ferrets! If you don’t fancy petting the goats or watching the chickens fluff their feathers, do not fear, the real attraction (in my eyes) is their AMAZING breakfast menu at the Piccalilli Caff.
As you can imagine, everything is made fresh from their freshly squeezed orange juice to their sizzling breakfast plates. Every time I go, I always seem to get their fresh mint and honey tea and their chili avocado toast with a side of sautéed mushrooms! To top it all off, they have by far the best eggs benedict in town, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious.
It’s always busy on the weekends and often crowded with kids wanting to pet the animals but I assure you that the wait is worth it. If the weather is nice, make sure to take a refreshing walk by the Thames to work off all the food you just devoured!
