Cliff’s Edge can easily be missed, as this is a hidden treasure in Silverlake. The door has no signs and I passed by the place about three times before I found the entrance.
But once inside, it is a true oasis; a wonderful, idyllic spot to have brunch and a great start into your weekend.
The ambiance and interior at this place is beautiful, rough and cozy at the same time. But the best is the outside patio, which was also was rated best patio 2014 in the Los Angeles Magazine. It’s tucked away from the street, in between lush greenery, surrounding a big tree.
The menu is very creative and also has a good choice of vegetables. Try the Californian must, a Kale Salad with currants and pine nuts. Also the Brussels Sprouts with fried egg and almonds are absolutely delicious. If you would like a more hearty choice of meat or fish, then I would suggest the Potato Pancake with smoked salmon and a poached egg or a daring Pork Belly Hash with egg, feta, brussels sprouts and potatoes. For any sweet tooth, you should try the Lemon & Ricotta Pancakes with a blueberry sauce.
They also serve dinner Monday through Saturday and have a great wine and cocktail list. If you plan to go to Cliff’s Edge I would suggest to check their menu online, as the menu changes seasonally.
And last but not least. If you like Oysters then don’t miss the Thursday Oyster Night from 18:00 – 20:00.
