Cold pressed juice is the ephemeral health trend sweeping Los Angeles. Traditional juicing no longer packs the enzymatic punch for well-being enthusiasts.
Kreation is a pressed juice bar and ‘kafé’, which offers a worthy selection of elixirs and cold pressed farmers market organics. Original recipes and potent, exciting combinations pressed at reasonable prices, has made buying into the possibility of restoring life to a limp body into an instantaneous reality.
Verbose, colourful and happy packaging make my liver pulsate with excitement about the prospect of last nights wine binge becoming a mere throw away indulgence and as I saunter down Abbot Kinney, a bottle of the magenta ‘Trinity Twist’ in one hand, sun kissed, flaxen haired and feeling energised, I begin to realise why people consume BPA free bottle loads of this magic.
Detoxifying combinations include: beetroot, lemon, ginger, kale, carrot and turmeric. More indulgent choices include a selection of pressed nut ‘Mylks’: alabaster youth injecting liquids, which include cashew, almond and walnut. ‘Better than Water’ beverages quench a thirstier mouth: chlorophyll, alkaline water, aloe vera and other lighter alchemy rehydrate and refreshes. They also serve the usual smoothie combination and shot tonics.
Nourishment doesn’t come more invigorating or nutritionally enlightening.
Note: There are two juiceries in Beverly Hills, two in Manhattan Beach and one Juicery/Kafe in Santa Monica.
