This little bakery and coffee shop opens its doors early and stays up late, yet they are always busy. And it’s no secret why: their pies, both sweet and savory, are melt-in-your-mouth delectable.
I love Republic of Pie as an alternative to all of the chain coffee places in Los Angeles. For starters, the shop is cute and cozy, well decorated, and has plenty of seating at both tables and couches. I feel right at home spending a few hours working on my freelance writing here, and I don’t freeze to death like I do at Starbucks.
Secondly, their food is heavenly. Whether you need a sweet pick-me-up or want to make a meal out of your coffee and quiche, you cannot go wrong at this place. And the best part? They have so many delicious choices, I can always come back and never run out of options!
The staff is sweet and friendly, and always helpful when you have questions or are feeling indecisive about what to order.
Their coffee is flavorful, and the barista always does a beautiful job with the latte art. If you’re not a coffee person, be sure to try one of the tropical teas – they’re all hand picked and very tasty.
Regardless of what beverage you order, be sure to indulge and get your pie a la mode – after all, you’re on vacation!
