Bazaar – Chic but unpretentious

Located in a trendy district? Check. Fuss about the restaurant? Check. Many good reviews on the internet? Also check. So you think it’s about time to give it a try and surprise surprise, it’s actually great and not expensive at all. It was not just good on paper, or online, it’s in fact a restaurant you would take your friends to.

Bazaar looks charming and welcoming as you approach from down the street, and once you step inside, the charm remains. Wooden floors, glass windows everywhere, and soft lighting on the main level. Come downstairs and instead of glass windows there are white walls filled with wine bottles and mirrors, making it look very cozy and casual at the same time. The atmosphere is what really makes Bazaar unique, and both levels are different and yet very much alike.

My favorites on the menu are the goat cheese salad and the roast tuna with mango. All desserts are also very good, and the wine menu is excellent. Every red wine I have tried is worth your attention. Maybe the only downside about Bazaar is that you can not make reservations in advance. And believe me when I say it is always packed, even though it is a big restaurant. If you want to ensure you get a table, come around 20:30; the later you come the more you will have to wait in line.
