You know those moments when you’re trying to organize a night out with some friends for some drinks and a good time but the decision making is in a stalemate and you can’t figure out where to start everything off? Jose Alfredo is always the first name that pops into my head and we always end up on the couches of this bar.
What is so appealing about coming here is that the cocktails are always prepared with precision and care. A gin fizz, the self named Jose Alfredo or a simple gin & tonic, you can’t go wrong.
I find that the sound level and the low mellow jazz playing in the background gives you the chance to have a normal conversation with your fellow companions and actually hear what they are saying.
I feel like I just stepped into someones living room when I sit down and the relaxed atmosphere combined with their own creative drink menu just slips you into a better state of mind.
This is also one of the local waterholes for many actors and people working in the public media as well as musicians, so during weekends the place can get crowded after midnight. But with a drink like l’estat de lioncourt (as many of you might remember as the character in the film Interview With A Vampire) in your hand for less than € 10 I couldn’t care less. One way or another most nights end up or start here.
