For me, this bar is one of the best and most typical Spanish bars in the city. It’s gaudy, full of artificial light, fruit machines, and plastic furniture, but it’s a place that makes me feel totally at home. The owners are friendly and chatty, although don’t be surprised if you have to wave to get their attention at the bar – this place is full to the brim at peak times.
They have all the usual Spanish dishes. My favourites are the scrambled eggs and the bravas. For drinks ask for a tercio (a bottle) of their special Estrella Reserva 1906 Red Vintage beer. It’s worth it! They give you decent free tapas if you just order a drink here, so I always wait and see what they bring before ordering something extra from the menu!
I like this place for the start of the night out, or just for a few drinks after work during the week.
