What I love the most about this cozy and elegant restaurant is that it can be part of your daily routine in the neighborhood. The street where it’s located is filled with all kinds of shops, ice cream parlors, playgrounds, cinemas and restaurants. Which means that even if you do not plan to come to La Caja, you will pass by it at any time. That is what happened to me the first time I came, and it was a great surprise. There is a small chill-out area at the entrance where the bar is, many tables as you go further and finally the kitchen at the end. It is an open kitchen with a glass window, something that’s not very common.
But also, if you are planning a night out in the area, La Caja is slowly becoming a cool choice to start it off. Dishes are original and good quality food is guaranteed. The goat cheese salad is at the top of my list, but keep an eye on the chicken burger or the pizzas. There is no daily menu (at least for now), but to compensate this you can choose many “tapas” to share.
La Caja recently opened its doors and, just in time for summer and a terrace has been put together. Needless to say, if the heat allows for it, do find a table outside because it’s the best way to feel the cool atmosphere of the neighborhood.
