With over 13.000 works of art and collected objects, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum makes you think; what should I collect? The private collection of Don José Lázaro Galdiano is full of small treasures like miniature paintings, medals and coins, watches, porcelain figures, drawings and stamps, as well as arms and weapons. Some rooms are so packed that they invite you to open display drawers full of knives and small objects. The truth is, so much “stuff” can be overwhelming. When I burn out on viewing things, I still enjoy walking through the beautiful rooms with high ceilings.
The admission fee is waived the last hour of the morning, from 15:30 – 16:30 weekdays and Sunday from 14:00 – 15:00, but an hour is not much if you want to see more than a few rooms.
The Foundation also has free concerts (usually classical music), ask at the reception for the changing schedule.
