The international vibe you will find at Niretxea Madrid Coffee Art is one of the coolest things about it, but it is hardly the only one. The menu is all about simplicity and good quality. Every tapa, salad and burger is very carefully made and prices are totally friendly. No need to be fancy and expensive when you can be simple, charming and great.
All “tostas” can be personalised by mixing up to 3 ingredients from the menu, including the type of bread you prefer. My favorite: avocado+goat cheese+caramelized onions, but I am certain anything from the menu is equally good. Music is always fun, and not so loud so an actual conversation can take place. Reservations have not been an issue for me, but the place is rather small, so keep this in mind. For dessert, you must try their “Goxua” cake, you just cannot miss it.
The owner is as friendly and inviting as you can imagine. First thing he will do when greeting you at the door is take a picture of you in front of a giant world map posted on the wall. There you need to pin your city or home country and smile for the camera. All the pictures will later be shared on social media, making you a part of their community. At Niretxea they are actually waiting for you, so make the time to pay a visit. Still plenty of pins to fill up their world map.
