Pastelería Formentor was established more than 60 years ago in Madrid and they have always offered high quality pastries and breads.
Talking of Pastelería Formentor means speaking of the Balearic Islands in Madrid, talking about their incredible ensaimadas and, since a few months ago, now we can also talk of tapas and savory Mallorcan dishes that they offer only during lunchtime.
At noon Pastelería Formentor is transformed into a coming and going of small dishes and casseroles with all kinds of savory options, mostly Majorcans. The best charcuterie from the islands -don’t miss their black pork ‘sobrasada’ (a kind of chorizo spread)-, tapas style dishes perfect to share, and a few mains.
But Pastelería Formentor is really famous for their ensaimadas, a Mallorcan soft bun that you can have with different fillings; if you have a sweet tooth you can tell them to add some custard cream on top -do it!- it can’t get any better than this.
If you cannot fly to the Balearic Islands at least you’ll be able to eat some of their delicacies at this place.
