Que si quieres arroz Catalina – The best paellas

Paella is probably our most international dish but also the most mistreated. And I’m not talking only outside Spain, also here! It is unbelievable what some restaurants serve as ‘paella valenciana’.

If you are in Madrid and you can’t go to Valencia to eat one, at “Que si quieres arroz Catalina” you will be able to eat one of the best paellas in town, my absolute favourite!

They have a short menu with a wholesome selection of appetizers, some meat and seafood dishes and your 5 or 6 traditional rice dishes. They also have 2 set menus that include several appetizers where you only need to choose your paella, both good value for money.

Black rice, made with squid ink, will transport you to the sea after the first bite; ‘arroz del senyoret’ -gentlemen’s paella- is perfect for those who don’t want to get their hands dirty; and there are many others with meat, lobster, etc.
