Galician gastronomy, from the north west of Spain, is the favorite of many, mine included. Everything is fabulous there: tasty meats, the best fish and seafood in the country and the yummiest vegetables; it truly is a foodie paradise. The bad thing is that the nearest seaport is 600 Km from Madrid, the good thing is that you will not miss anything from Galicia at Restaurante Gallego.
Restaurante Gallego only cooks seasonal vegetables (organic if available), wild fishes, the best and freshest seafood -their octopus is a must!- and Rubia Gallega beef, one of the best in Spain.
Don’t forget to ask for the daily specials, they always have great dishes off the menu that you will not want to miss. They have half portions of many starters, perfect to enjoy more dishes. All their desserts are homemade and they are all delicious, special mention to their crepes flambé stuffed with custard cream -filloas-.
They also have an impressive wine offer, including the ones they make.
