When I want to work on my game without the hassle of driving out to the nearest golf course, I generally head out to GreenCanal. They have converted the area in a large sporting facility, boasting it to be one of the first urban practice ranges in Europe, with a whopping 300 meter long range which is accessible on both sides. I feel like I’ve just walk ed into a country golf club, but at a brief walk from the subway station.
It’s one of the only practice ranges to offer an automatic ball dispenser machine, so don’t go looking for a bucket to fill ‘em up, just walk up to your stall, take your stance and press the large button indicator, which shoots out the ball for you. It’s quite the novelty!
If you happen to be in Madrid and didn’t bring your clubs, don’t fret as they rent golf equipment for a small fee for you to use. Among the other highlights is 9 hole pitch & putt and a chipping and putting green area, mostly reserved for students though. One other factor that I don’t want to leave out is their restaurant situated on hole 9 of the golf course, with splendid views of the entire campus for a very sweet ending to a good work out.
