The Passenger could go unnoticed surrounded by all the others hip and cool bars of the trendy Malasaña neighborhood, cause you could never imagine that behind those dark wooden doors there’s a recreation of a luxury dining car of a train of the early twentieth century.
The main area is designed to look and feel like a train cabin. To create the illusion of movement, there are screens simulating windows where a never-ending journey through nature, landscapes and unnamed cities is projected.
My plan: sit down in their leather, super comfortable seats, have a drink and get hypnotized by the images (real footage from train windows all over the world).
By day, they serve coffee prepared exclusively by “Toma Café” (probably one of the best coffee shops in Madrid) and bite food, like an actual dining car. By night, great cocktails, craft brewery beer and the wagon it’s magically transformed into a rock bar.
Enjoy the ride!
