Xanacuk brings much needed freshness to Madrid, and by fresh, I mean juices squeezed to order, healthy salads and everything available to go. Started by an expat from Australia and his Spanish wife, Xanacuk already has three locations in the city center. I’m an addict to their juice blends and on a day when I haven’t got much time to eat, I’ll get a toasted bagel with alfalfa sprouts and smoked salmon or a veggie-hummus wrap to go. The brownies and chocolate chip cookies are perfect to finish off your super healthy meal. Bonus trivia: the sandwiches are all named after local landmarks! Details about this spot (Show on map)

Fresh food made daily a a huge variety I don’t think that it is overpriced, and definetly not overrated. Yes there are many vegetarian restaurants in Madrid however Xanacuk isn’t a restaurant nor vegetarian for that matter. They do healthly fast food and cater for a wide range a tastes and is well worth a look. The juices are great and well priced.
I really can’t get enough of the fresh juices at Xanacuk – they’re 500% better than any other fresh juice you can find in Madrid and worth every centimo. The best part is there is something for everyone – my boyfriend prefers the mini-hamburgers and quiches to go.
Definetely overpriced and overrated. I know other vegetarian restaurants in Madrid that are worthwhile. It’s been a few months since I’ve been to any of them, so I’ll publish my list as soon as I update my opinion. I know most vegan visitors have a hard time in Madrid, but don’t lose hope! Among our tasty tapas that you will find anywhere you go there is tortilla de patata, champiñones, paella and fideuá de verduras, pimientos del piquillo y del padrón, queso manchego, patatas bravas, espárragos…
Other bonus: yummy vegetarian soups. It’s already miraculous to run into food vendors in Madrid who even know if their food is vegetarian, and then for the food to be both veggie and tasty? Blows my mind away. And lovely!
