If all the shopping, sightseeing and partying in Manchester is proving too much I highly recommend an hour in a floatation tank at Manchester’s Float Level.
Based in the Ancoats area of the city (walking distance from the centre) is the tranquil oasis of Float Level. The venue has just two floatation rooms, which helps the place feel more relaxed, less people coming and going. Once you have received your instructions you enter your room, which has a private shower and your specially designed 8ft X 5 ft pod filled with a 10″ salt-water solution.
Each pod has its own light (that you control), I opted for darkness, which is recommended. You begin your session with tranquil music playing and then silence as you float away. The music returns for the last five minutes and then the lights come on.
For a full hour I floated effortlessly and whilst I did not feel my brain relaxed my body did.
Once showered you can relax with a water with lemon, feeling ready to face the streets of Manchester once more.
