We (my son Rueben and I) had already eaten lunch when we wandered into Imli Street Samosa, but we were keen to sample the place, as it had opened recently in the place of one of our old haunts.
It’s a neat concept, where you can choose the filings for a samosa made right there. We had a chocolate one with strawberries in it (I’d been pushing for apples and custard but was overruled).
They have the obvious classics, but choices are broad – they include English things like cheese and bean, Pakistani cuisine like spinach paneer and even Mexican chili.
The shop’s decor is interesting: the furniture is made of pallets and metal, and I quite like the light fittings. It’s moving from strength to strength and it’ss nice to see people enjoying it so.
The opening hours were also extended recently, allowing me more opportunities to try new options.
