My son was sat next to me while I typed up an article about This Place (A grilled cheese joint.)
“Can I go there?” He asked. So the other day when we walked past I showed him, he offered me his bread then realized I couldn’t have that either (I’m don’t eat bread or diary anymore). Then we passed McCall’s and he said, “I will buy you an apple.”
The juxtaposition of the two places on the Church St. market has always amused me. One all fat and food naughtiness, whilst McCall’s is food porn of a different kind.
The shop sells Organic veg and a whole ton of other whole foods: gluten free pasta, unsulfered molasses and cacao nibs.
McCall’s is a bit of a haven for true foodies, they have an impressive range. For me it is truly a place to partake in a bit of food fantasizing, but also a city center location to quickly pop in for some lush kale.
