On the Saturdays the boy studies Tang Soo Do, it takes us up to Prestwich Village on our bikes. It honestly used to be mostly empty shops but in the last few years something has changed and Prestwich is awash with cafe bars and cute shops.
One of the more recent additions is Nonsense. We popped in on our way home a few weeks ago to have a fortifying drink before returning home.
The shop has striking pale grey walls and plants, mostly hanging in lovely interesting plant pots. its a real love letter to greenery. We both admired the framed moss, bark and lichen above our heads while we drank (the coffee is rather nice by the way), separated by a large blackboard and a small reading corner for visiting small folk.
There are more tables set back, feeling quite removed from the shop, the walls lined with display shelves covered in magazines almost too nice to take down to peruse.
In no way meant to remain untouched, there is a large blackboard and a small reading corner for visiting small folk in the middle ground. It must have made the boy feel welcome as he asked before we even set out to visit them again on our travel home.
