There’s always a lot going on at Salford Quays – it’s home to the Lowry Theatre, The Imperial War Museum, a shopping outlet, countless restaurants and the famous MediaCity UK, but even though there’s always something to do my favourite thing to do here is usually nothing at all.
If you are lucky enough to visit on a sunny day there’s nothing I like better than taking a coffee down to the waterfront and indulging in one of my favourite pastimes – people watching.
The Quays also regularly hold markets where you can find some of Manchester’s best independent businesses and streetfood stalls.
Don’t worry if the weather is cold and miserable though! The Lowry Theatre is one of my favourite places to get a dose of culture with lots of shows and screenings to choose from as well as the permanent LS Lowry art exhibition, which is well worth a visit! Best of all, both museums on the Quays are free to visit!
