Salford Quays – People watching heaven

There’s always a lot going on at Salford Quays – it’s home to the Lowry Theatre, The Imperial War Museum, a shopping outlet, countless restaurants and the famous MediaCity UK, but even though there’s always something to do my favourite thing to do here is nothing at all.

Admittedly that’s a little trickier in the winter, but if you wrap up warm and are lucky enough to visit on a sunny day there’s nothing I like better than taking a hot drink down to the waterfront and indulging in one of my favourite pastimes – people watching.

The festive season is always particularly special at the Quays with events this year including a Victorian Christmas Fayre, a Magical Makers Market and a Nutcracker Trail.

Of course if it does get too cold outside The Lowry Theatre is one of my favourite places to get a dose of culture with lots of shows and screenings to choose from as well as the permanent LS Lowry art exhibition, which is well worth a visit!
