I’m on a bit of a vintage kick at the moment and one of my favourite ways to spend a Sunday is heading to Stockport Vintage Village. It takes place every second Sunday of the month and as you can’t always depend on the weather in Manchester, it’s nice to know you’ll have a great day out even if it’s pouring down. The Vintage Village takes place in Stockport’s Market Hall, which is a beautiful covered building that provides a really fitting setting.
Packed full of vintage goodies from all eras from clothing, jewellery and accessories to furniture, tableware, textiles, knick knacks for the home and antique toys. You might need to have a bit of a rummage, but that’s part of the fun! Each month the market has a special theme to reflect the season. There are also some lovely vintage and antique shops in the surrounding area, which are a great extension to the market.
And of course, you couldn’t leave without visiting the food stalls. The sweet potato pie from Lord of the Pies is about the best I’ve tried!
