Zouk Tea Bar & Grill – Fab Indian & Pakistani Food

Great food, fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff.  Zouk is a great restaurant, which is a little hidden away off Oxford Road, on Chester Street.  On approach to the restaurant you can’t miss it, as the outside area is surrounded by huge orange plant pots which light up at night.  The outside area has a Mediterranean feel in summer, but is still accessible in the colder months as heaters are provided.  On the Zouk menu you will also find a selection of Shisha tobaccos, which help to keep the outside space popular all year round.

Inside you will find a large restaurant on two floors and an open and very busy kitchen.  Weekend nights are the busiest, with a fantastic buzz.  Grab a drink in the bar before heading to your table, you will find a decent selection of wine and beers, but I opted for the cocktails when I visited.  The Raspberry Mojito was delicious.  Food wise I was impressed by the choice and together with three friends we chose four different dishes and shared between us.  Each dish was superb, and the portion sizes good.  I didn’t reckon much of the dessert choices, apart from the fact they tempt you by bringing them to you on a cake stand for you to choose.
