Panadería Rosetta is a spin-off of Rosetta, an amazing restaurant located in the hip Roma Norte neighbourhood, famous for its home-made pastas and seasonal food. People also fell in love with their bread and pastry so chef-owner Elena Reygadas saw an opportunity and opened a tiny bakery half a block from the restaurant.
The place, as expected, was an immediate success and is always packed with bread & pastry junkies willing to wait several minutes in line to grab their daily fix with a cup of fresh coffee. Then, Reygadas opened another Panadería Rosetta a few blocks from there, in the upcoming Juárez. This one in a larger house, with half a dozen tables on a lovely patio where you can relax and enjoy your breakfast, have a cappuccino with your friends or simply replenish your tank with carbs & sugar after walking around the city.
They have many sandwiches on their menu, but my personal favourites are the ham and ramonetti cheese and the homemade smoked chorizo with rocket salad. From their bakery you MUST try the rosemary bun, the pain au chocolat, the cinnamon roll and the almond croissant.
