Have you ever been in Brera? Have you ever visited the Pinacoteca? Nearly everyone has. One place where not everyone has probably been to is Brera’s botanic garden. Nestled among the narrow streets of the old district, it’s not that easy to find, but, once found, you won’t regret it!
Brera botanic garden is a quiet place in a quiet quartier, surrounded just by silence and greenery, and only a few people visit it. But in my opinion this place really is worth your time, and there’s no need to be a big fan of botanic gardens to truly appreciate it!
I used to take long walks in this garden for a break during my days of study at the Biblioteca braidense, and even Goethe used to sit under the Ginko Biloba settled in this garden, searching for inspiration.
You can reach it by going into the Accademia delle Belle Arti or by taking via Fiori Oscuri and going through the door on your right which will bring you into the Brera palace. Then go straight down the narrow path in front of you.
