The name of this place says it all. La Strada means “the road” in Italian and in fact from entering this weakly illuminated place you can tell it’s a place for travelers. If the name and the furniture was not enough, they’ve even added a red light van in the middle of the room.
I like to think the name is paying homage to Kerouac’s masterpiece. This wine bar offers many artistic events for those interested in music, literature, wine and food tasting. One thing I love is the walls: they are covered in the old ripped-off pages of a botanical book which render the walls softer both in touch and sight.
An accurately chosen variety of wines and beers, accompanied by many selected cured meats and cheeses, panini and bruschetta which perfectly match the expectations given by such a cured place. At only 10 minutes from the bustling city centre, I find it’s the perfect solution for a fast dinner or aperitif, let alone alternative artistic experiences.
