If you’re wondering where to go on a sunny day in Milan, even in winter, the answer is only one: Parco Sempione.
Parco Sempione is the green space in town, where everybody goes to get some rest from the traffic and the cement, and enjoy some nature. It is a little nook away from the city, but still in the city center.
The park is pretty big and you can access it from many different neighborhoods, which makes it close to every citizen. My favorite entrance is the one from Lanza (Green Metro Line), close to Bar Bianco. That is not the calmest area of the park, but it is possible to enjoy the small river there and get refreshments from the Bar.
To enjoy Parco Sempione as much as possible I advise you to go there with a blanket, a ball, a few sandwiches and some beers: drinking, resting and playing some volleyball are the perfect ingredients for a pleasant sunny Sunday, even in winter!
