I have been always fascinated with paper. Books. Notebooks. Sheets of paper. Each time when I visit the library or a bookstore I do not miss a chance to leaf through the pages and to sniff the paper-inkish aroma.
You can imagine how happy I was to discover the little paper shop in via Palermo, in the Brera quarter. Tra le pagine, or Between the pages appears to be a tiny kingdom for paper crafts of all sorts.
Hanging from the ceiling decorations, wall signs with witty messages, glass-vessels and microscopic bottled messages let the visitor forget about the world outside and take a journey like on a paper airplane.
The specialty of the place are the fairytale-ish postcards for all types of occasions, gently illustrated with lovely dreamy creatures. The selection of notebooks in original formats and sizes, accompanied by unexpectedly cute covers could invite anyone to share some hand-written stories between their pages.
On one side, the shop owner has arranged a little bookshelf with carefully chosen titles, among which I noticed inspiring classics and freshly pressed editions.
Tra le pagine could be an excellent stop to get some crafty inspiration while walking in Brera or an original gift-destination for a dear friend.
