Café Gentile – Westmount – Italian everything

Finally, Cafe Gentile opened its doors in Westmount! When I went to discover the new location on Sainte-Catherine Street, I found out that Cafe Gentile first opened its doors in 1959 and is still a family run business. What I loved the most out of the new location was the decor and Italian vibe. The place opens at 07:00 and closes late at night.

I had a cappuccino and a Gentile grilled cheese of which I will not reveal the ingredients, as you should go in and discover it yourself. It was the first day of snow and the Italian warmth made me feel welcomed.

The layout is also quite remarkable. The bar is pretty wide and welcomes enough guests. There is a big TV and the morning show was playing. The music was well curated and jazzy like. The dinning room is divided nicely, allowing some intimacy between the tables and the couch in the entrance is just like from the movies.

You can eat there or take it to go, it is up to you!
