It’s the weekend or any other day of the week, early or relatively early, you are super-starving and your fridge is empty. Hungry for a typical brunch plate with toasted bred, ham and stuff together with filter coffee in your cup to be regularly refilled? Then this place is for you!
Cafe Joe has rapidly become my obligatory Saturday or Sunday stop on the way to explore the city. It gives me the chance to cross St-Henry and take each time a new detour to discover this area. Once arrived, you may have to wait a bit to get a table, but the food is delicious and the staff super nice so you can wait peacefully.
One thing I like with Montreal is the pace of the city, no rush. Enjoy the moment and don’t eat too fast. If you are lucky someone may play the piano located in the middle of the room, and if nobody is playing then the staff iPods will create the ambience in the space for you, offering a cosy atmosphere and making you feel basically at home.
