Situated on Montreal’s iconic main drag, Saint-Laurent street, the Café Melbourne is a cozy, non-pretentious spot to get together for coffee, lunch or brunch on the weekends offering an Australian inspired menu.
Open since 2012 by two Aussies who wanted to bring a part of their Melbourne café culture to Montreal, the cafe started getting lots of attention when they started serving brunch on the weekends. The place has a very laid back and relaxing vibe. They offer many delicious and creative dishes (all named after famous Australian stars!) such as the matcha green tea hot cakes (Margot Robbie), smoked salmon on bagel with wasabi cream cheese (Nicole Kidman) and brioche bun loaded with sriracha mac & cheese, avocado, bacon and egg (Michael Hutchence). Menu items change regularly, portions are generous and very affordable. Along with their pink latte and signature Lucky Charm latte, this place offers a brunch menu like none other in Montreal.
If you love brunch as much as I do, pay a visit soon, you won’t be disappointed. They start serving brunch at 10:00 and stop when sold out.
