Old-Montreal is probably a part of town that you will be visiting. Guess what? Not only you, but also everyone else coming to Montreal will be visiting this part of town, which means that businesses will sell you overly priced sandwiches. By that I mean that it is common to charge $ 12 to $ 18 for a sandwich.
I have now been working for two years in this part of town and I discovered the best place to go for a sandwich. I like to eat food that will keep me full for more than a half-hour and I think a lot of people do as well. At la Concession, they let you choose your bread. I always go for the loaf of fresh bread. I have been lucky enough to get the middle slices so you can imagine the size of my sandwich! Apart from the bread, they have pickles and spicy peppers that you can add to your sandwich. I like my tuna sandwich all-dressed and toasted. I have to say that you can’t get a better sandwich for a better price in this part of town.
Montreal is known as a food city and when you are on a mission to try all the amazingness of Montreal it is nice to sometimes have the option of sharing a delicious sandwich at a decent price and keeping yourself for a bigger meal later.
