I recently moved from Le Plateau to the Saint-Henri neighborhood. Finding new rituals has been quite a mission. Luckily for me, I found La Luncheonette. This non-pretentious, local, gypsy-ish spot is everything you need from a cup of coffee to a nice brunch or lunch. Plants nicely decorate the side of the windows and the wooden floors make it very cozy.
Everything is made with extra love. I have tried many different options on the menu and that also included their pulled pork sandwich, which I end up craving once in a while. One morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the live Jazz band. There is nothing better than live music for breakfast.
La Luncheonette is this warm community hang out. This spot is really close to the Saint-Henri metro and right beside a laundromat. It might come handy if you are in town for more than a week.
Tip: Check out their Facebook page for all of the upcoming live performances.
