Parc La Fontaine is one of those parks I love to go spend time at. Whether it’s for a morning run or a dog walk, it’s a great place to be.
In the fall, the park becomes really colourful, so it can be enough to just walk around and take in the red and orange of the leaves, but there is also much more to do than just walk in grass and stare at trees. The park has a few facilities such as playgrounds for children, a baseball field and a friendly dog park.
Parc La Fontaine also has a large pond with ducks that is transformed into an ice skating ring during the winter so when it’s too cold to run I will switch to skating until it’s warm again.
If you own skates you can simply enjoy the ring as long as you wish and whenever you want but if you don’t, it is possible to rent some for three hours in the little building next to the rink. it will cost $10 for just the skates, more if you want a helmet and a lock. Once I give my skates back, I love to go and sit in the restaurant Espace La Fontaine to warm up with a nice hot chocolate and cookie!
