Montreal is full of little residential streets where all there is is duplexes and little houses. It might seem like it’s not much to go and see, but some streets are more special than others and Rue Drolet is one of them.
I stumbled across a portion of Rue Drolet as I was walking to a restaurant and was almost surprised that I had never been there before. The portion of the street between Avenue Duluth and Rue Rachel Est is filled with a row of little houses, each more colourful than the other.
I found it made the street look very magical, even more so since it had snowed during the night, making the colours of the walls pop against the white. It happened to be a blue sky day as well, which made the whole street look like a postcard.
If you’re someone who enjoys photography or just simply really colourful things, I think it’s worth a detour!
