The Salon Teashop opened last autumn on Jean-Talon West. It’s a part of town that has more and more shops and cafés opening, as it was a bit forgotten over the last years. Teashop is definitely a place where you can take the time to relax and to expand your tea knowledge. The service is friendly, and there’s a lot of space, a few fauteuils and large wooden tables. The large windows ensure natural light for your readings.
I like to try out different teas here, and while you wait you can either ask more information about your tea or get any recommendations. According to your tea, they’ll choose a specific water temperature, so you’ll get a professional tea for sure. My favourite is their London Fog: Earl Grey with milk and vanilla. If you like your tea sweet, you can’t miss out on this one. It’s not the cheapest one in town, but it’s worth the 5 dollars (4.25 + tx and tip).
Oh, and don’t worry: they serve coffee and pastries too.
