A pub is a pub – you already have an idea of what you’re going to find there. It can be a secure feeling as you know it’s comfortable, or it can give you the opposite reaction and make you want to run away. This one made me want to come back.
Like many of the places I like, it was first introduced to me by a British friend who used to be a regular. We were pretty well-welcomed, but I never had the impression of being better served than the other customers.
Fun fact: this pub closes very late. Probably the bar stays open this late because it’s a good place for waiters, waitresses, cooks and more of all restaurants around to meet. Because, like any other profession, sometimes the employees like to share a drink with colleagues or friends after work, but finding a late open stop can be challenging.
