Some people have always liked to work out at the gym on a regular basis. But for others like me, there’s always a very good reason not to go.
I wasn’t too good at going to the gym daily until I found a few ways to make it more fun and easy to go work out, even after a long day. Two essential criteria that ease my workout routine are the gym location and opening time, along with a broad range of activities that allow diversity.
In the middle of downtown, the YMCA has been fulfilling all my requirements lately. The YMCA of Greater Montreal was established in 1851 and was the first establishment in North America. Ever since, the Y has been highly involved in helping the community. What I like about the downtown YMCA besides the friendly staff and clear and updated installations is that I can stop by at (almost) any time. Opening hours are from 06:00 to 22:45 on weekdays, and from 07:15 – 19:45 on weekends.
Besides that, its welcoming capacity is huge, making it easy to find a free treadmill or to jump in the pool for a few yards. If you’re neither a runner nor a swimmer, whether you prefer yoga, aerobics, hip-hop, spinning or zumba all of these are also possible options! You can pay per visit ($ 17.25 gives you access to all /activities) or become a member ($ 65 per month).
