Yoga Vieux Montréal (YVM) is the best Yoga Studio in Old Montreal. I first tried this studio because of its location (50 meters away from Metro Place-d’Armes). I instantly fell in love with it as the teachers were extremely friendly. The space is also bright and not overcrowded.
I took the Vinyasa Flow as I had already done a few classes of yoga in the past. The 60-min long classes are perfect for beginners and advance practices. Tanya the yoga director always makes her classes fun by using props.
They welcome new students and drop-ins, which is great when you have a chaotic schedule. I went back for a second class this time with Anastasia. I overheard a student say that she spoke like a Buddha and it turned out to be so true. The classes are mostly taught in English so it turns out to be a bonus for a lot of students. I like to recommend this studio to anyone coming into Montreal looking to eliminate some of their travel stress and tiredness.
At YVM you will find Beginner Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Intro to Yin and Restorative Yoga. Keep an eye on their Facebook as they often organizes wine and yoga event as well as brunch and yoga.
