This delicious Japanese ramen restaurant is located in the Plateau, one of the most charming neighbourhoods of Montreal. The place is very small, filled with Japanese decorations and a warm atmosphere.
After placing my order on their paper form, I was able to watch the cooks prepare everything in front of me. A part of the kitchen is open so you can watch while they assemble the ramen with all the ingredients previously prepared in the hidden part of the kitchen.
Because I very rarely eat meat, I was happy to be able to order their vegetarian ramen which has a vegetable broth rather than their traditional pork broth and toppings that included green beans, bamboo, grilled tofu and a few other things. The idea is to complement the quite simple ramen with the four condiments they offer on the table to make it super tasty.
The staff is always very nice and the service is fast. The regular ramen is not very expensive and the portion is big but how much you pay will depend on whether or not you add extras. Overall it’s a great place to get warmed up on a cold winter day!
