About me
“I do not have an interest in literature, but I am made from literature“, Franz Kafka once wrote to his fiancée Felice Bauer. To me, this quote is the most beautiful love declaration to the written word.

Though I’m not a poet and have never tried to be one, I’m all literature and language from head to toe. I’m definitely the one who always carries a book around, has thrown away the TV to make room for even more bookshelves and buys a novel from a local author instead of a guidebook when travelling. Having studied literature and German language naturally increases the issues mentioned above.

Besides admitting to be kind of bookish, I love to meet friends, spending afternoons in cafés, going to the cinema, having breakfast, cruising through Munich on my super rattly vintage bicycle, planning future trips and travels, and visiting flea markets. And yes, I will browse them for old books!

Why Munich?
Despite all the well-known stereotypes, Munich is a very authentic city that reveals its character in all the little details you might not stumble across on first sight. Beyond the lovely Bavarian traditions, it is the mélange of urban and rustic that fascinates me, the variety of people living here and the feeling that however diverse its population might be – Munich’s residents cling together by a somewhat secret slogan.

And if the sun is sending out her rays behind the rooftops on an early morning, I hear the bells of the Ludwigskirche and the wind is blowing softly through my hair on my bicycle ride to university – I am happy to be in Munich rather than anywhere else in the world.
