The Dianatempel (or “Diana Temple” in English) lies in the most visited part of Munich as it is part of the Hofgarden and lies next to the Odeonsplatz.
What most visitors probably don’t know is that the Dianatempel is more than a beautiful pavilion: during the summer months (and if the weather permits it), this is a meeting point for hobby dancers from all over Munich!
There is salsa on Wednesdays and Sundays, tango on Fridays and swing on Sundays, so there is definitely something for everyone. The meetings are not commercial, they are open and free for everyone. The idea is very simple: people who share the same hobby (dancing) choose an incredibly beautiful place (Dianatempel) and have an amazing time and lots of fun with people who share the same love and passion for dancing. Isn’t this a great idea?
Next time, you pass by the Hofgarden, stop for a second, listen to the music that comes from far away and follow it. It will lead you to a beautiful group of happy dancers. You can simply watch them but hey, why not pick a dancing partner and join them?
