Flex is one of those places you can never find alone. There must be someone to bring you there for the first time. The bar lies in a quiet, clean Munich residential street, a few meters away from Goetheplatz and you can easily walk past it.
Behind the door – and a few steps down – a pure rock universe is waiting for you: Simple, dark, “Berlin-like” walls, wooden used tables, rock music and relaxed atmosphere come right away in contrast to the world outside.
People come here to listen to rock and metal music (this depends on the DJ – check the website before you go, or let Flex surprise you!) while enjoying their beer. Apart from the big room, there is a smaller one in the back for those who want to test their abilities in kicker-playing.
It is worth it to check their website before you go as the bar does organize special nights, e.g. I would propose to gamble-lovers to try their luck on Saturdays, when before paying they have to roll dices against the barman – and maybe they’ll get the drinks they ordered for free!
My personal favorites are the Sunday evenings, though, when everyone can be the DJ for one evening! I have not dared (yet) being a DJ myself but I really enjoy being there when people prove their talent in song mixing and surprise the bar’s guests with mainstream and not so mainstream choices.
